About us

Reini Adelbert

Lawyer and corporate veteran, Reini has lived in South Africa since childhood. He has been a muso from early teens. His main instrument is acoustic guitar but he dabbles in bass and percussion. As a writer, his songs range between European roots and a deep love of Africa.

His music roughly fits the blues/country/easy rock & light jazz genres. Involved in home recording for decades, songs from his albums, ‘Leave Your Light On’ and ‘Memories of Rain’ enjoy regular radio airtime. More recently, he has written material in Spanish and German.

Sarah McLaughlin

Born in Roodepoort but now thoroughly Captonian, I love anything electric guitar and all genres of music. Hence I enjoy the versitility of the instrument from roaring distortion to delicate fills. I do believe music is magical and an integral part of our human experience.

This project has been a masterclass in collaboration, arrangement and production under the wizzardry of Reini.

Thank you for the tremendous honor.

Gavin Allderman

Gavin grew up in a house infused with jazz and dancing with a particular Oscar Peterson influence. Living in Somerset West where a local Italian filmophile opened a cinema showing foreign art films this engendered a total love of film.

After dropping out of university Gavin decided aviation was a future passion. Forty three years of flying culminating in an international pilot captaining international flights across the globe. Always passionate about film and technology he was part of a crew filming an award winning documentary and bio about a local band.

In his retirement from aviation he has become an avid videographer. With a love of music and film, a meeting with Reini has sparked a symbiotic relationship with a documentary on Reini in the pipeline.
